It was one of those rare downtimes you all had, and you were just ballsy enough to challenge him for a round of billiards.

He outranked the people in his group, so you kinda had an idea of what you were up against.

Even if you barely knew how to play…Probably shouldn't have kept your money where your mouth was either.

"Hold on a sec." Ed said, stepping closer to you. "Your stance is off."

You straightened, turning to him. "What do you mean?"

"You need to balance your weight better." he explained. "Right now, you're too far back and it's throwing off your aim."

"Like this?" You asked, trying to mimic his earlier stance.

"Yeah, but lean in a bit more," Ed moved behind you to adjust your posture. His hands were firm on your body, guiding you into the proper form. The feeling of his cold hands running down your lower back sent chills through you. "You need to get low and steady your aim."

You hummed, trying to find a good angle to come in from.

"Alright, let's see you make this shot." He stepped back, giving you room to move. "Don't rush it. If you just smack it without putting any thought into it, you'll back yourself into a corner. And it'll be twice as hard to come back."

You let out a deep breath and bent over, aligning your shot with the cue ball.

As you did, Ed couldn't help but stare at you. Something was captivating about the way you moved, how you bit your lip when you were focused, and the curve of your body over the table.

He didn't realize he was staring until a voice broke his thoughts.

"Enjoying the view?" Falke teased in a low voice, so only he could hear.

Of course Falke would be the one to catch him.

Ed blinked, tearing his eyes away from you as he felt the blush creeping up his face. "Just making sure they've got the right form." he replied, a bit too defensively.

"Sure you were." She said, nudging him with her elbow. "I've never seen you so focused on anyone's form before."

"You don't know what you're talking about." He said, taking a swig of his beer, but the hint of embarrassment on his cheeks said otherwise.

"You know, you're not as tough as you like to pretend, Ed." Falke shook her head.

"Keep it up. I'll have you sparring against Y/n in my place." He shot her a look.

Falke laughed, raising her hands. "Alright, alright. I'll behave. Just try not to stare too much. You're going to make them nervous."

The words hung in the air as she watched as Ed turned to see your progress. Yup, still struggling. So she decided to remind him of something he's been avoiding for a while.

"It’s okay to let them in, you know." She said picking up her drink.

Ed's gaze flickered to her, with his brow furrowing slightly. There was a mixture of fear and a longing he wasn’t quite ready to confront, not yet at least.

"And what?" his voice was low. "Expose them to the shit we deal with?"

"They're strong, stronger than you think. And I know they can handle it." She said, meeting his gaze evenly.

Ed's jaw clenched, with a familiar sense of stubbornness rising in him. He wanted to keep you at a distance if things ever went south. But her words struck a chord, stirring something deep within him.

"That's the thing, they shouldn't have to." Ed sighed, running a hand through his hair.

Falke placed her free hand on his shoulder, to try and soothe him. Either way, they're still choosing to be with you. And keeping Y/n at arm's length won't protect them—it'll only push them away."

Ed's gaze softened as he glanced at you again, watching your tongue peeked out of your lips in concentration, finding the right angle to focus on.

He couldn't deny the bits of truth in Falke's words. You stood by him despite his attempts to push you away, and you always went out of your way to understand him, to break through the walls he had built around himself.

"They deserve better," Ed muttered, his voice barely audible over the chatter of the pub.

"Maybe, but they think you're worth it. And maybe it's time that you started believing it too." She replied, squeezing his shoulder.

You, being oblivious to the exchange, took your shot. The cue ball rolled across the felt table, striking against the striped one with a satisfying clack, before sending it into the pocket. You excitedly jumped up, with a grin spreading across your face. "I got it! Did you see that?" you yelled, looking at Ed.

"Yeah, I saw. Nice shot." he said with a small smile. "You're getting the hang of it."

"Alright, your turn." you handed over the cue stick and you didn't miss the brush of his fingers against yours.

Ed approached the table and placed his glass down. He positioned himself as he lined his shot. You watched as he gripped the stick and quickly sank two balls, effectively ending the game when his set was gone from the table.

"And that's how it's done," he took his drink off the pool table and settled right next to you.

"Guess I have a lot to learn," You sheepishly laughed, before taking out your wallet. "Double or Nothing?"

"You're on." Ed smirked.

fr tho i loved the fact that we had a real prelude for this region.. i think the excuse to make something a little more isolated and establishing in it's plot is already super beneficial for whats to come. we got a lot more character exposition, and even the time to install these cool archon quest specific mechanics. i loved solving everything, it was all SO fun but they also got to have these really emotional beats, i feel this is some of their best pacing yet.

imo the last half of sumeru really helped hoyoverse find their stride, fontaine so far has similar storytelling energy to the whole heist bit of sumeru.

the best thing however might've been the SCORE??? they went out of their league with this one, it's the most fitting, noticable and influential instrumental work they've done in an quest imo

The concert has wrapped up and I’m omw home so here’s my highlights:

- Everything was vibrating so much. It was a learning curve. It made my poor little sister nauseous but at least she managed to get thru TX2’s set! She sat in the back and had a good view

- I got thrown around a bit in the mosh pit. I also was super close to the stage I swear Evan looked directly at me which is like. The most normal thing ever but it still made me so giddy

- I made some buddies kinda! Some boys were handing out necklaces and glow sticks and I got 2 noise makers. I hung out with them for a while and they enlisted me to go give them out and so I just stuck a noise maker in my mouth and would go up to ppl hold things out and blow the noise maker at them awkwardly. No one knew what to do with that interaction so they’d just take it and start laughing. It did entertain people quite a bit. Except I did wreak havoc with the noise makers. All through Teenage Joans’ set ppl would blow their noise makers instead of cheering

- I got a picture with those boys. They also had an autism creature plushie.

- TX2 was handing out the shirts ppl were buying and one kid with TX2 written on their face in eyeliner wearing a button up and tie like he used to in all his videos got their shirt from him and they were shaking and grinning so much stimming excitedly with these big shiny eyes and I felt so much joy on their behalf. I hope they can look back on this part of the night as one of the coolest things to happen to them

- Teenage Joans had a chill presence but the audience loved them. We were all so happy to be playing along and singing with them and stuff. TX2 riled everyone up a TON there was screaming jumping moshing everyone was yelling along it was INTENSE. NOAHFINNCE was super exciting and kept up the crowd’s energy but in a distinctly different way from TX2.

- The bands hyping each other up was so cute. Definitely was in part just etiquette, but it felt like they were like. So happy for each other and Noah especially kept talking about how awesome the other bands were. Probably in part bc they rlly hyped him up for being the headliner. Literally during their set Teenage Joans had everybody chanting his name.

- Someone shouted to Tahlia, the lead singer of Teenage Joans to adopt them. They said “legally I can’t do that, but in spirit I’m adopting you”

- Actual interaction between Tahlia and the audience: “how’s everyone feeling? Everyone feeling good? Everyone feeling safe? Anyone feeling unsafe?” “I’m feeling gay!” “You’re feeling gay? We love to see it! We love to hear it.”

- Noah: I recently got diagnosed with autism-

- My sister said that it was a little weird being right next to Evan bc she could “feel his back and it was weird.” His hair was literally dripping with sweat so I don’t blame her tho LMAO 😭

- Noah’s guitar got messed up during the beginning of one song and he had to start over

- Cam was wearing a vest that said “SERVICE DOG DO NOT PET”. At one point during an instrumental part of one of the songs Evan pointed to him and yelled “Give it up for my best friend! Make some noise!” which was adorable-

- NOAHFINNCE played two trans rage songs which is so real. They both absolutely slapped if you were curious.

- Noah, at the beginning of SCUMBAG (one such trans rage song): “This song is not about JK Rowling! Legally!”

- Compare to TX2, who I guess got legally cleared to name drop US senators in Randy McNally because he not only did that but also told us it was about them before playing the song. Which he did play btw and it was AWESOME.

- Everyone was dressed so cool this was obviously such an event for everyone and like. The joy everyone felt was palpable every set. Everyone was excited to hear from and get along with Teenage Joans, admiring them, TX2 channeled that into aggression and encouraged everyone to go fucking nuts, and you could just FEEL how much everyone loved NOAHFINNCE. I was almost overwhelmed by the happy energy in the air. I think I love live music more than I thought by a very large margin

- My mom posted our pics on Facebook with a joke about how she never expected to be in another standing-room-only mosh pit concert again. After she and my sister left she also periodically texted me to ensure I was still doing ok and every time I had just gotten done screaming my lungs out cheering.

- They were serving free cups of water (it was at a bar) and at one point I grabbed one and started drinking and then I was like “oh someone could’ve EASILY drugged this” so I started making my way toward a middle aged lady with a kid and like three teens wearing pride flag capes and studded belts and chokers cuz I figured in case someone HAD drugged it they would be the safest people to assume would care about my wellbeing and not allow me to be harmed.

- Unsurprisingly, no one had drugged the cup of water. But I did feel pretty safe around the middle aged lady and her kid and all the teens wearing pride flag capes and studded belts and chokers

- Everyone had a different way of ordering the audience. Tahlia would tell us “ok now I’m gonna sing this and you sing it back to me! Can you do that? Let’s go!” And Evan was more like “You bitches ready to FUCKIN MOSH?!” and Noah was kind of in between like “now you’re gonna jump! I want you to make the fucking floor shake!”

- I hurt my elbow somehow. That connective tissue do be disordered 😔 (<- hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome)

- Apparently in August Teenage Joans are gonna be back in Minnesota where they were tonight with sleeping with sirens which is INSANE. Their merch guy (who has also been transporting them, and who they had us cheer for during their set) told me that they were “very excited” for it and I was like yeah no shit?? It’s sleeping with sirens?? Who WOULDN’T be excited that’s mfing HUGE (<- I did not say this. I said “yeah, I bet! I’d be excited too”)

- All around an amazing time!! I had a lot of fun and I’m very glad I got to go and now and am familiar with 2 new punk artists

My team won a title. It means we had a celebration. And she was there. I asked her if we could take a photo. MY GOD, WHEN SHE PULLED ME BY MY WAIST FOR THE PICTURE. I WAS LITERALLY SHAKING!!!!!!!!!!

That was like 3 weeks ago (?) Then she did something mega-weird. I was waiting for her at the end of the match -she asked me to go lmao- and she dissappeared and stopped replying to my messages, but kept liking my stories. I felt like it wasn't me who had to text her again, so I waited and she kept liking my stories.

I'm 99% sure she just panicked. She saw me with my friends and she couldn't confront the crowd -of fucking course she knows my friends know about the flirt.

After that, next game she approached one of my friends and didn't even speak to me. Everyone, including that friend, knew that she came over to us because she wanted to make act of presence in front of me.

Then she finally texted, and we started a convo where every message was a picture of what we where doing at the time -this was super cute tho.

In the middle of that conversation that lasted a few days, there was another game. She didn't play but she was next to the player's bench, place that has a good vision of the part of the crowd where I usually sit.

And she knew that. And her teammates knew that to -they know me because i've been a team supporter a few years. My friends were laughing at how many times she was looking at me. One of her side-teammates even commented it, we were laughing and I was with a bit of gay panic.

CHEERING YOU UP— whenever you feel quieter than usual, or a bit more sarcastic, the boys immediately know something is wrong and rush over to make you feel okay. Literally, it's almost like they've abandoned practice. And eventhough you tell them to get back to it, they refuse to leave until you're feeling better. Suna usually gives you a hug and kisses your forehead, whilst Akagi cracks jokes. Then, (and eventhough you protest) Atsumu lists off all the things you should love about yourself, whilst Osamu buys you ice cream (food is, after all, the best cure for anything). Aran is literally ready to HUNT the person who affected your mood down, and kill them, whilst Kita is literally just holding him back and making sure things don't go overboard. Even if you aren't fully cheered up by then, you'd have laughed a whole lot and know how much they care for you, so honestly... how could you stay sad?

REACTING TO YOU TELLING THEM OFF— Suna is literally just meh about it. He can't take you seriously because he's a dork who thinks he's not included in the list of "idiots" (but no Suna, u mf, you ARE included -_-). Atsumu thinks it's hot 👀 (as I mentioned above), Akagi is genuinely upset/ready to sob and vows to do better. Kita is proud of you for telling them off before he could do it (Kita is not included in the "idiots". How could he? he's PERFECT 🖐️). Did side quests in Vanaheim, different favors for spirits. Also found Lunda’s orb & armor, & Mimir & Freya teasing Kratos about being overly cautious over a squeaky toy? Put that shit into my veins, absolutely golden interaction, Kratos definitely swatted Mimir’s head after he continued laughing. Also Kratos’s journal entry about Lunda is so fucking funny to me. There’s a lot of humor in this game & I think a majority comes from Kratos in his deadpan straight delivery.

We also severed Freya’s bonds to Asgard & I’m honestly shocked that this isn’t a main quest. There is so much character exploration that comes through on just this side quest & it’s really touching. Really being able to relive Freya’s motivations & learning what she gave up & endured in order to keep the peace between the Aesir & Vanir only for it all to be in vain is honestly indescribable other than I can’t believe people can play through the game & just not do that. “The deepest wounds form the strongest bonds,” is going to stick w/ me & you KNOW there are so many abuse victims & survivors this entire quest resonated w/. & this was what got me to fully accept Freya as part of the family. She is now Auntie Freya in my mind.

Also got to learn more about Freyr’s “army” & specifically picked up a quest from the Dark & Light elf couple. They’re a fun pair.

The familial interactions don’t end between the people (gods) btw. Kratos warmed up to Speki & Svanna & evidently old habits die hard bc he called them “good boys” he corrected himself so it’s fine. I love seeing the softer side of Kratos be brought out more as time goes on.

Went home to dream of my Kratos’s lovely wife some more, featuring baby Atreus. Before that tho we got to see Christopher Judge give a performance that deserves (& earned) an award & he literally just sat on his bed. Bc at his core Kratos is a man who’s scared for his son & can only hope to do anything to keep him safe. Only emphasized by his dream in which Faye tells him to protect Atreus before they both disappear. Universe give Kratos a goddamn break challenge, difficulty impossible.

We cut back to Atreus living up to his nature as a 14 year old boy & punching walls while (not really) chilling w/ Skjoldir. Who I forgot to mention in the last post but it should be noted he’s the only person in Asgard I actually trust. I’ve also heard that he’s apparently the 1st king of Denmark? Neat.

I had a few moments to be excited over going on a mission w/ Thrud only for that excitement to be crushed when it was revealed that Heimdall was coming too. Every run-in w/ him pisses me off the same way Odin’s conversation w/ Kratos pissed me off except for the fact that Heimdall isn’t being manipulative, he’s speaking the truth in the most self-righteous manner possible. He’s right about Atreus being a scared little kid & he knows it & I hate him for it. I cannot wait to kill him. I’m so glad he had his own shit to do in Helheim so that he’d leave Atreus & Thrud the fuck alone.

I picked up on this w/ Heimdall when I 1st met him & it became even more evident w/ Thrud: there’s some serious Aesir propaganda going on & as far as I know, Odin & Thor are the only ones who know what actually happened. It did annoy me a bit how Thrud was so quick to dismiss Atreus’s claims, especially her comments about how his sources aren’t unbiased, but like. Mimir was tortured for a century & Freya was abused, they aren’t just “bitter” & “traitorous” for the sake of it. But it is her family & she was raised w/ Odin & Thor’s side of the story, so I can’t really blame her or stay annoyed w/ her (just miffed on behalf of Mimir & Freya). Other than that, I do enjoy Atreus & Thrud being rambunctious & cocky together (still hoping it stays platonic).

Ohhhhh, a big pupper - SIKE. Just a fuck up waiting to happen. & of course as soon as it did happen Heimdall showed up to mock the kids. Which is among the most pathetic things a grown ass person can do. Also “half-breed”. I cannot overstate how much I want to kill Heimdall & how much I want it to be brutal. Before I get back into events as they happen I’m gonna revise my theory on the Champion. I think now that it’s gonna be Atreus, but not for reason expected. The Norns’ whole thing was that they made predictions based on nature, & bc people’s nature is so clearly predictable, it really does seem like they have the same control as the Fates of Greece. Bc Kratos is the way he is, they predicted that he was going to kill Heimdall to protect Atreus & that feeding into his nature is what would lead to his death. What the Norns didn’t see what Atreus making the decision to come home from Asgard, leaving no need for Kratos to kill Heimdall. I think Atreus is the Champion not bc he’ll battle against the Aesir to avenge to Jotuns, but bc his choices are so unpredictable & his nature as a troublemaker is so murky to even the Norns that he can defy prophecy. There’s room for me to be wrong, there’s only been 1 instance of this & I haven’t finished the game, but I think I’m onto something.

Back to business: Atreus’s mindset only being made worse & seeing his home under attack due to his recklessness. I really do love the moments when we get to see genuine fear & panic & the realization that he’s screwed up from Atreus. Which is weird to write bc I love Atreus & want him to be happy & safe but these can coexist. But god, the moment when Kratos hesitantly asks “What do I call you?” before his son just drops his bow & runs to hug him & they just actually embrace each other & that’s how he knows to call him Atreus is just 🧡🧡🧡 my heart. They really do just want the best for each other & as much as Kratos has been worried about Atreus, Atreus has been worried about Kratos. & it’s almost been worse for Atreus bc letting his motivations be known would’ve put him in actual danger. But he finally gets to let that out when he sees his father again.

So apparently all it takes for the fam to have an open & honest conversation is for Atreus to RUN OFF TO THE HOME OF THE ONES WHO MURDERED HIS MOTHER’S PEOPLE OKAY istg Atreus basically said what I think he should’ve said about keeping someone safe as the reason for his secrecy. Like I’m glad y’all are talking but if this is what it takes then get these 2 into family therapy.

The only thing worse than starting a game w/ a dog dying is making us kill a dog. I would say that SM deserves to go to hell for this but we didn’t actually kill the dog, his ass came right back & THAT’S HOW WE FUCKING GET ACTUAL FENRIR HOLY SHIT idk why it didn’t occur to me that Fen would be the soul in the knife but it surprised me. I went back & watched the opening death scene & it literally shows 1 of the soul parts going into the knife. I wonder which part it is, it could be luck bc Mimir specifically mentioned it earlier when Atreus asked if a being could survive w/ only 1 soul part but we’ll see. Also nice take on how Fenrir & Garm are often conflated to be the same.

Also I guess this iteration of Loki & Angrboda aren’t going to really be parents to their children rather than giving them new life. & yes I will credit Angrboda w/ Fenrir bc she’s the only reason Atreus knows how to put souls in bodies. Also I think the snake from earlier is gonna end up as Jorm now which explains the timeline - I didn’t think so earlier bc they didn’t have the same coloring but some snakes do change their coloring as they grow & also this is a magic sea serpent. So.

Except that doesn’t apply to Hel apparently? She’s not a being given new life by Atreus & Angrboda, she’s the giant bird w/ a title that’s always been held by different rulers of Helheim which I . . . thought of but didn’t think would end up being the case. As far as I know Hel really doesn’t have much association w/ birds, & I’m kinda disappointed that they didn’t do anything w/ her classic description. I would’ve thought that the gow team would have a field day w/ a goddess whose description is half beautiful woman half rotting corpse. I guess Hel being a giant bird is in line w/ Jorm & Fen also being giant animals, but I really wanted to see Hel’s classic description on screen. I do wonder if there’s something to be said about Fen, Jorm, & Hel being creatures of the earth, sea, & sky respectively. Again, I haven’t finished so maybe Hel will end up being closer to her original description via a being given new life by Atreus & Angrboda, who knows.

“See what I can do when you trust me?” While I feel it’s a great statement & one Kratos needs to hear, I also feel like Kratos was kinda justified in their last argument. I mean imagine: you’ve had to vacate your home & realm bc you’ve made some very dangerous enemies, your impressionable & trusting child has spent time alone w/ a master manipulator, said child disappears after an argument he storms away from angrily w/out a word or trace for multiple days & when he does get back, he’s even angrier & not talking. Granted, Kratos could’ve taken a less accusatory & more concerned approach to the confrontation, but I don’t blame him for assuming Atreus went to Asgard especially after Freya’s input. Coupled w/ the fact that the 1st major thing Kratos finds out in the game is that Atreus has traversed all of Midgard looking for Tyr & DRAWN THE ATTENTION OF THE GODS WHO MURDERED HIS MOTHER’S PEOPLE & yeah I think Kratos has a right to be distrustful.

But at the same time, I get it. Atreus, like Angrboda, has been carrying the weight of being the last of his kind & being the center of world ending prophecy. Said prophecy seems to have a pretty clear idea of who Loki is supposed to be & Atreus is trying to figure out how to fit that image bc not doing so has dire consequences for 9 whole realms. He’s also a kid who’s experienced a lot of death - either of his loved ones or by his own hand - which severely fucks w/ a person. He’s also just found out that his father’s going to die so now he’s carrying that weight too. & the thought that he can’t stop it angers him but more than that it terrifies him. So despite what previous words indicate I really don’t blame Atreus for acting irrationally - not only is he facing the end of the world but the end of his world. Doesn’t mean I can’t still be frustrated w/ him for not considering the danger, which I think is where Kratos is coming from.

But there was a great conversation before getting back to Sindri’s in which they BOTH admitted their faults & I’m dndjjdkasndfjff. Kratos telling Atreus he’s worthy of his namesake? The 2 of them promising to keep each other’s voices in their heads (IDC IF HE DIDN’T VERBALIZE IT THE HAND ON THE SHOULDER IS KRATOS MAKING A PROMISE OKAY)? Atreus echoing back his father’s words of wisdom? I can’t, there don’t exist words big enough for me to describe how much I love them. (also istg if “I need to know you’ll be okay without me,” ends up being any kind of foreshadowing, call SM Olympus & call me Kratos :))

Gotta love the mixed reactions from everyone once they get back to the house: Mimir being mostly relieved w/ a hint of anger at himself, Tyr also being relieved but not saying much bc he recognizes that he’s been overstepping his boundaries until he can provide info about the mask, Sindri being rightfully mad that Atreus attacked him, Brok being Brok, & Freya being frustrated but trying to understand. At least everybody’s back on the same page. Unfortunately Freya decided to go back to Vanaheim meaning Auntie’s visit is over but at least it isn’t the last of her.

I’ve actually seen the Alfheim side quests w/ both Freya & Atreus, & I’m honestly kinda split. I enjoy Freya’s perspective on her brother’s antics but the dialogue w/ Atreus freeing the 2nd Hafgufa is just so much more thematically appropriate. Great conversations ranging from Atreus awkwardly asking about Hafgufa mating to Kratos’s perspective on parents giving up their lives for their children. Kinda indifferent on the library but Atreus being a nerd is cute & it’s nice of Kratos to not kill a boss.

I made another post about the interaction where Atreus asks about liking someone but I truly long for when Angrboda officially joins the party. I just know Kratos would love her & that her presence would brighten things. She’ll want to bring her animals which Sindri probably wouldn’t be too happy w/ but they don’t have to be in the house, they can just chill on the tree. There are plenty of animals that already do that, it’ll be fine. I JUST WANT HER TO JOIN THE FAMILY UGH

Went to Vanaheim to join up w/ Auntie Freya & apparently she & her brother’s army had to flee bc Freyr & Bigvir (I think is his name) the light elf got captured. Yk that Beyla’s gonna rip her way through the einherjar about it.

Kratos taught Atreus the Greek word for humid & I really hope he keeps teaching him Greek now that Atreus has taught him runes. It’s the little moments that get me, honestly.

Atreus: Who’s Lunda?

Mimir: An old contemporary of the Huldra brothers. She serves as Freyr’s blacksmith, keeping his team armed and outfitted.

Atreus: Whoa. Another legendary blacksmith? I bet she has some good stories.

Kratos: Take caution, Atreus.

Atreus: What? Why?

Kratos: She is quite . . . hrn . . . friendly.

Mimir: *chuckling* Oh, nonsense, the lad’s far too young for her taste.

Atreus: Uh hehe, what?

istg I wheezed for a solid 2 minutes after hearing this this game is so fucking funny.

I saw the good boys & they are sleepy. Ig it kinda flies in the face of Speki & Svanna being Skol & Hati bc they’re back in Midgard but it’s fine.

& that’s what more I’ve seen. I’m so relieved that everybody’s back together. I can’t wait to join up w/ Freya & actually see her being an Auntie to Atreus - I can actually see her teaching him magic & the 2 of them getting carried away much to Kratos’s chagrin. There are a ton of moments that are so sweet & a ton that are funny & I can’t wait for more.

So I started Ragnarok last night; here are my thoughts:

I love love LOVE how much closer Kratos & Atreus are instantly shown to be. There’s a huge contrast between their distance in the last game & their easy familiarity in this one.

I’m calling it now but the sled dogs (wolves) are gonna be Skol & Hati.

RIGHT into it w/ Freya to let us know this has been happening for years. I thought it would be the most obvious that bc Kratos killed her son, Freya’s gonna try to kill Atreus. I wasn’t sure she would do that tho, but immediately in her 1st attack she punches Atreus in the face, throws him off the sled, & I think she tried to stab him? It was going really fast so I couldn’t tell but it looked like she tried? So now I’m even less sure. Combat btw is fast paced & engaging.

We didn’t need to start w/ the dog (wolf) dying but okay. Love Kratos trying to help Atreus through his grief in his own way, even if it doesn’t come out quite right.

Also fairly certain that Fenrir was buried instead of burned so they can bring him back intact later on, if that is supposed to be the real Fenrir. Either w/ time travel junk like Jorm or Hel’s death magic.

FAYE?!??! O my god?!??! I’m in love?!?!? Her constantly teasing Kratos IMMEDIATELY after we meet her is just shehfjddjdjdzk?!!?! “Grumbles” duuuude “Am I meant to decipher your grunting?” no I’m definitely in love. It’s so clear that Atreus’s nature as Loki is all her (emphasized by her wearing yellow) & I love it. Also love the callback to the first hunt in the last game when Kratos tells Faye “This is your hunt.” Also can I point out that Kratos saw Faye - same height as him at 7 foot something - perform the same godlike feats of strength as him w/ the same ease & instead of thinking, “Hey I don’t think this woman’s mortal,” thought instead, “Damn, Scandinavian women are built differently.” BRO SHE LIFTED A TREE & then spooky shit happens.

OH SO WE’RE IMMEDIATELY ADDRESSING KRATOS DEAD ON THE WALL, OKAY

“Why won’t this bear fucking die?”

“HOLY SHIT IT’S ATREUS NO”

“Oh he can heal, it’s okay. Also HE CAN SHAPESHIFT THE LOKI POWERS ARE COMING IN YES”

“Kratos was seconds away from killing his other child.”

Speaking of which, Atreus has gotta find out at some point in the game that Kratos had a whole other family. Idk if it’ll come from Kratos but there’s a huge possibility that it won’t. Clearly the Aesir know the gist but if they know he killed his family then Atreus could find out this terrible info from a terrible source at a terrible time.

Speaking of the Aesir, I somehow missed Thor’s height. I thought Tyr was tall but holy shit, Thor’s gotta be like 9 feet. Love everything about this version btw; design, voice, characterization are all on point.

Odin was a bit underwhelming, he kinda looked like a Pope, but I think that’s the point. Odin in Norse myths has a habit of going out in disguise to get people off their guard so it makes sense that this Odin wouldn’t be an imposing figure. Few outside the Aesir would get to see that.

Atreus is looking for Tyr & pretty close to finding him too, nice. Not so nice that Odin & Thor know about it.

HOLY SHIT THE SCRIPTED DEATH THAT TOOK YOU TO A MENU & THE RESURRECTION?!?! What a mindfuck. I’m not ready for the rest of this game.

I don’t think Atreus declined Odin’s invitation to Asgard. Not a good thing given Thor saying that Odin’s got plans for him, those plans likely being execution bc Ragnarok doesn’t happen w/out Loki. What else are you hiding Boy?

Atreus taught Kratos how to read runes & I just think that’s sweet.

Kratos & Mimir really are just coparenting huh.

I thought that what turned out to be called a stalker was gonna be a full on character, not just a regular baddie. Little disappointed. She looked cool tho.

God I missed the dwarves. Sindri tryna act like he hasn’t been helping Atreus, then cowering from Kratos when the truth comes out & Atreus having to get between them (fairly certain that Kratos was partially fucking w/ him tho). & Brok saying to Atreus “What’s that doing in my workshop?” & KRATOS NOT GETTING THE JOKE “That is my son.” THE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN THESE 5 ARE GOLD & I’M SO GLAD KRATOS ATREUS & MIMIR ARE BEING PUT UP W/ THEM.

We’re less than 2 hours into the game & most of the stuff in the trailers has been shown or referenced already. So as stated above, I’m not ready for the rest of this game.

Could I maybe request Todoroki, Shinso, Bakugo, Denki, Dabi, and Iida’s (separately pls!) reaction to their gf walking around the dorm/league of villains lair in r e a l l y super short shorts and she low key has some cake? Like what the boys would do and how they feel? Haha sorry if this is weird tysm!🥺

Warning: all of these are a little spicy, but Dabi and Iida’s have spice on a whole other level so they’re under the tab. like… there’s that lol. 

Also, in recent news, the more I write Shinsou the more I’m in love with him holy SHIT he might have jumped to #2 on my favorite list dang

Todoroki:

He’s just chilling in the common room couch writing an essay when you walk by to pick up your mail from your po box

He turns his head as you walk by when he looks up his eye level is right in line with your ass.  It definitely surprises him, and it's all he can do to stare as you walk to your mailbox

He’s practically drooling when you bend down to insert your key, the shorts riding up a little too high. He averts his gaze right away, his eyes burning holes into his laptop.

His head is buzzing with the image of you in his mind, and his ice quirk is working overtime to cool down his temperature. Tips of his ears are definitely a little pink, but other than that he holds his composure. 

He’s listening to your keys jingle as you get your mail and re-lock the po box. 

You’re hardly paying attention to him, browsing the mail in your hands as you walk by again. You gasp, dropping your keys when you feel a sudden pinch on your behind.

“S-Shoto!” 

But when you turn around, he’s typing away at his essay. He looks up at you, blinking. “Yes?” But the smirk on his face tells you everything you need to know.

Shinsou:

You were on your floor, tiptoeing around the kitchen to make some late night snacks. You were already in your pajamas, a baggy shirt and some high rising booty shorts. You weren’t worried about someone seeing you, they were all in their rooms by now anyways. 

Shinsou only happened to stumble on you by chance. He was walking upstairs to your room to return a towel he’d borrowed from you earlier that week (he finally washed and folded it). 

He was just about to knock on your door when he heard your voice down the hall. Holding the towel under his arm, he casually walks to the common room. 

Turning the corner, he opens his mouth to call your name but chokes on his words before he could even make a sound. There you were on your tiptoes, reaching for a high shelf so that your shorts rode up just right.

You jumped, squeaking when you suddenly felt two hands running up your ass as a chest pushes into your back. You’d already guessed who it was by the time their lips were on your neck, gasping. “S-Shinsou, what are you--”

“Shh,” he hushed you, the words tickling your ear. “You can’t tease me like that and expect me to do nothing…” 

Bakugo:

He loves your ass. It looks good no matter what. Jeans? Perfect. Yoga pants? Holy hell. Bikini? Only he gets to see that.

So when he’s chilling on the couch playing video games with Kirishima, he practically chokes on his drink when you enter the room in the shortest shorts he’s ever seen in his life.

A few sparks definitely go off, the game remote dropping from his hands to the floor.

“What the hell!?” he’s practically yelling. His face is bright pink, but you’re not sure if it's because he’s angry or flustered. He startles Kirishima, who turns to see what Bakugo is looking at.

But of course Bakugo acts quickly, grabbing the nearest pillow and shoving it so aggressively onto Kirishima’s head that you were certain he was smothering him. “Don’t look at her dumbass!” 

Bakugo’s up in a matter of seconds, lifting you up and over his shoulder and hauling you back to your room. “Bakugo, what are you--!?” He shuts you up with a quick, punishing smack to the ass.

“Are you trying to piss me off?” he growls, throwing you onto your bed. “Or are you just that dense?”

Denki:

He’s kinda pervy sometimes so it’s really no surprise when he gets a little handsy with you. Literally no shame either, he’ll 100% pinch your ass in public.

If you’re cuddling on the couch laying across him he’ll drum on your behind. He just really likes your butt.

So when he walks into the dorm room to see you laying on the couch, ass OUT, he takes that as an open invitation. 

He walks behind the back of the couch, pausing to make sure you were distracted with your phone, and then gets a handful of bare ass contact. It’s a loud smack and it definitely stings.

You gasp in shock, rolling over to see Denki laughing. “That one was hard!” you pout, an irritated expression already forming. He only has a second to move before you’re climbing over the couch to chase him.

“Denki, get back here, I get to do one back!” But your words are hardly audible over his laughter as he runs.  

Dabi:

You’re at the villain’s bar late one night, looking in the cupboards to find some sort of liquor. You couldn’t really sleep, so might as well treat yourself to a drink or two.

Dabi happens to walk in on you right when you’re bent over, looking down in the cabinets for some rum. Your shorts were practically nonexistent, riding up so that your asscheeks were exposed.

He can’t help himself. Not when you’re on full display for him so pretty.

You nearly bump your head on the counter when you feel two hands grip around your hips, pulling you flush against him. 

Exhaling sharply, you crane your head back to see Dabi, a sultry expression on his face. His hands were rubbing along the front of your thighs firmly, clearly loving how you felt up on him.

“Dabi, it’s late,” you mumble, standing up only for him to push your top half onto the counter. 

“Then we have plenty of privacy,” he reasoned in a low voice, craning his head down to nip at your earlobe with his teeth. 

He didn’t care. Did you really expect anything less from him?

Iida:

He gets so conflicted because he’s attracted to you and will have dirty thoughts but he’s adamant about not objectifying you! Iida, dirty thoughts are fine, you’re only human, dude.

Needless to say, you’ve been trying a little harder than usual to get a reaction out of him. You loved that he respected you and thought it was so cute when he was flustered…but sometimes you just wanted him to lose control and kiss you! 

He was slippery tho. Anytime you’d do something provocative he’d excuse himself or refuse to look at you. You knew you had to bring out the big guns.

You’d both agreed to study in the dorms together. Iida was early as usual, so he was organizing his notes on the coffee table. When you finally arrive, he looks up to see you in the shortest shorts he’s ever seen. Immediately stiffens up, glasses fogging.

“Oh hey Iida!” you smile ~cheekily~. “Oh how sweet! You saved me a seat.” Promptly dropping your bag on the couch, you make a show of bending down to sit yourself down on his lap.

“(Y-Y/n)!” he cleared his throat, unable to focus on anything else than the way you felt on him. He knew what you were doing and you knew he knew. 

He loosens his collar a little, face composing into a serious look. “This is unacceptable behavior.” Your grin falters, eyebrows furrowing. It seems you took the teasing too far. You’re in the middle of an apology when he cuts you off.  “No, you need to learn. Bend over my knee.” 

That’s more like it!
